莘田二村是广州市花都区花东镇东部的行政村，与白云区钟落潭镇相邻，X281线公路贯穿全村，面积2.38平方千米，下辖8个村民小组，村委会介绍的总人口为2333人（未注明年份）；流溪河绕村流过约3.5公里。村内的八角古庙是广州市文物保护单位[1]。
地名由来与沿革[edit]
谢、叶、明等姓族人据说曾住粤东南雄珠玑巷，南迁后在此择地建村，取名莘田村。中华人民共和国成立后，按庾、谢两大姓氏和地理位置分设两村，东边叫莘田村，西边叫莘田二村[1]。
村在1958年一度改称三联村，1987年起称莘田二村。它原属番禺县，1951年划归花县；1987年设村委会，隶属北兴镇，2005年2月归花东镇[1]。
八角古庙[edit]
八角古庙始建于明代，庙顶歇山结构形成八角形，坐北朝南，三间两进，供奉洪圣大王，清中期及1922年重修。2011年9月，它入选广东省三大新发现之一，2015年8月公布为第八批广州市文物保护单位[1][2]。
经济与荣誉[edit]
村里引进个体私营企业11家，建有科普示范基地、四季石榴和荔枝种植基地，萝卜种植基地也在启动中[1]。2024年3月被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」[1]。
