九湖村是广州市花都区花东镇的行政村，在花都大道旁，面积约2平方千米，下辖4个村民小组，村委会介绍的总人口为1130余人（未注明年份），距花东镇约3公里[1]。村里的王氏大宗祠是花县第一届农会旧址[1][2]。
地名由来[edit]
村又名九旋湖，建村已有600多年，说法是因九个山岭环护而得名；另有说法称四周有九口泉水汇成湖，叫九泉湖，简称九湖[1]。
沿革[edit]
现在的村民委员会，由花东人民公社的九湖大队演变而来；1979年从中分出三凤、天和两个大队，1984年九湖、天和又并为九湖乡，到1987年撤乡建村才分设天和、九湖两个村委会[1]。
花县第一届农会旧址[edit]
旧址是村里的王氏大宗祠，也叫显承堂，清道光年间建成。彭湃、阮啸仙等受中共广东区委派遣，于1923年来花县指导农运；博雅地名网记载，花县农民协会1924年10月19日在祠内成立，花县农民自卫军总部也设在这里，旧址现列为广州市文物保护单位[1][2]。
荣誉[edit]
2021年11月，九湖村获评「2020年度广州名村」；2021年12月被评为「2021年广东省卫生村」；2026年1月获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村[1]。
