推广社区是广州市花都区花东镇下辖的社区，设在花东镇的镇中心区。社区名来自推广圩，推广圩由清代的长山圩与象山圩合并而成[1]。

地名由来[edit]

清同治二年（1863年）以前，象山西麓有长山圩和象山圩两处集市。1936年，花县县长崔广秀下令两圩合为一处，取他的姓名谐音定名为推广圩，距花县县城东约16公里。社区在圩内，因而得名[1]。

沿革与荣誉[edit]

1987年1月设推广居民委员会，属花东区公所，同年3月转隶花东镇人民政府。2010年5月，镇内的多个社区居委会依花府办复〔2010〕3号文件撤并，推广社区是保留下来的四个之一[1]。

2022年11月，社区获评「广州市2022年绿色社区」，2024年11月又被认定为「2024年广州市充分就业社区」[1]。
