三和村在汕尾市城区红草镇埔边西北约2公里，海丰至汕尾公路西侧，四面平原，由大寮、头寮、水陂三个自然村组成，2009年总人口2633人。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，明代至民国这一带称陇乡，大革命时期叫过太平庄。1949年后属海丰县第七区，与西河合为西河乡，人民公社时期是西河大队，后来分出三和大队，隶红草公社；其管理区在1989年设立，村委会则在1999年成立。[1]
地理与经济[edit]
村周围有八座小山，当地人称为“七星伴月地”。经济以农业为主，兼营渔业和林业：养鱼塭，种水果。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月公布的广东省民主法治示范村（社区）2018年度创建名单中有该村；2019年10月列入当年广东省卫生村名录。[1]
