梧围村在汕尾市城区红草镇埔边东北约8公里，位于黄江下游，北与海丰县附城镇的道山相对，距海城镇7公里，由大份、东寮、大乡、后寮、横坣五个自然村组成，2009年总人口2608人。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1965年梧围从海梧大队分出，另立大队，仍属红草公社。此后1989年称梧桐围管理区，到1999年改设村委会。[1]
地理与经济[edit]
村在河流冲积平原上，地势低平，水道环绕，土地肥沃，有“鱼米之乡”的称呼，是红草镇主要的产粮区之一。农作物有水稻、番薯、花生，兼营渔业。[1]
