青山村在汕尾市城区红草镇埔边东北约2.5公里，背山面向小平原，由南洋、曾厝、山头寮、石牌等村组成，2009年总人口2082人。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，解放初这里有一座地主的楼房，土改时没收作大队部；楼房朝南背山，大队因此叫南山大队，1982年因与县内另一个大队同名，改称青山大队。其管理区在1989年设立，村委会则在1999年成立。[1]
经济[edit]
以农业和林业为主：种水稻、番薯、花生，山上栽马尾松，并发展水果种植。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月公布的广东省民主法治示范村（社区）2018年度创建名单中有该村；2021年12月获“2021年广东省卫生村”称号。[1]
