历史沿革[edit]
村名由来：据博雅地名网，明代由里水大冲村分支而来，当地既有沙丘又有充沛水源，故名。[1] 村建于明永乐年间，区、何等姓迁来聚居。[2]
清代属三江司三江都山南堡。合作化时期与龙头合为建和大队，1979年分出沙水大队；1983年11月改乡，1987年2月改村委会，1989年6月设管理区，1999年3月复为村委会，2005年并入狮山镇。[2]
经济[edit]
常住287户，其中本地户籍1144人，另有外来人员两千八百多人。[1] 村名列2020、2021、2022年三届淘宝村名单；2020年8月，"沙水桃花"使其进入广东省首批"一村一品、一镇一业"专业村。[1] 据百度百科，村内建有两个工业区，另有千亩桃花种植基地。[3]
