历史沿革[edit]
清光绪年间（1875年至1908年），隆都鹊巷的林姓宗族分出一支来此建村，建成“驷马拖车”式的民居，定名林畔。[1][2] 林畔旧属饶平县；1953年同南塘、后浦、雅道梓并为南塘乡，1959年成立林畔生产大队，1983年11月这四村又共设南塘乡，隶十五乡区。[1]
荣誉[edit]
林畔村在2017年10月入选首批「广东省卫生村」；2019年9月公布的2018年「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单中有该村；2026年3月又被认定为「广东省第三批百千万工程典型村镇」。[1]
