历史沿革[edit]
明万历十四年，张姓人家来此建村，所盖的寨式楼房叫“盛安楼”，村名后改为新楼。明初徐姓人家曾在莲花山南麓山丘上建了圆形村落“大长垅”，后遭明军围剿而散，清康熙十年（1671年）村民返回重建山寨，改名“上长宁”。[2][3]
人口与经济[edit]
2002年全村土地面积0.7453平方千米，耕地407亩，145户722人，有25个姓氏，以张姓为主；村集体经济总收入296.97万元。[2] 村里种龙眼、柿子、杨桃等杂果51亩；工业不发达，只有3家小企业。[2] 村里投资500万元开发了旅游山庄“百草园”，设登山、垂钓、品茶、烧烤、骑马等区域，园内有二次革命时期的地下会议遗址。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
盛安楼清乾隆癸亥年（1743年）建成，占地约3000平方米，环形，高约12米，墙厚约2米；寨内埕中有八角形的“莲花古井”，寨门正对着佛堂，供奉九王斋佛像，据说该佛像源自泰国。[2][4] 据百度百科，寨内有32套两层楼房组成64间扇状并排屋，只开朝南的一座寨门，农历九月初一至初十仍举行“九皇斋”活动，百度百科把它归为客家围屋，称是汕头地区保存较好的围寨建筑。[4]
