历史沿革[edit]
明万历二十七年（1600年），福建莆田的陈氏兄弟来到这一带。二人约定“创乡各立，乡称归一”，哥哥建了今潮州市铁铺镇的溪头，弟弟建了今雅道村，起初也叫“雅道”，后称“雅道梓”，取“雅言执语，道德传家”和“桑梓”之意，后来简称雅道，俗称“码头仔”。[2][3]
人口与经济[edit]
2002年全村土地面积0.4561平方千米，耕地375亩，209户818人，以陈姓为主；村经济年总收入286万元。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
村里的四方古寨前低后高，占地约8000平方米，外围由33间并排屋围成方城，寨中央有大厅和两间大房，寨内设四直二横六条通巷，寨前有1500平方米的半圆形水池，池后是约2000平方米的寨埕。[2]
