历史沿革[edit]
明崇祯元年（1628年），隆都后溪的金姓人家来此定居，村落在一条带状沙垅上，起初叫“长陇”，后为同山上的上长宁（原称大长宁）区别，改称“下长陇”，1949年又定名下长宁。[2][3]
人口与经济[edit]
2002年全村土地面积1.0818平方千米，耕地700亩，270户1036人，有33个姓氏，金姓最多，张、陈、林等姓次之；村集体经济总收入453万元。[2] 村里以农业为主，山地种荔枝、龙眼、柿子共31亩。1992年建成自来水池和供水管道，1996年铺设水泥村道，1996至2000年投入78万元分两期建下长宁小学教学楼。[2]
