历史沿革[edit]
明朝初年，陈姓兄弟自福建莆田迁来，先住镇东沙垅埔的上下垅，不久移到现址，因地方狭小称“陇仔”，后因沙垅上长着野梅林，改名梅陇。该村由上下垅和沟尾陇组成。[2][3]
人口与经济[edit]
2002年全村土地面积0.3633平方千米，耕地274亩，168户746人，有26个姓氏，陈姓最多，其次是胡、林、潘；村集体经济总收入325.768万元。[2] 村里种番石榴10亩、花卉15亩，村办企业共15家，涉及玩具工艺、五金和毛织服装。[2] 1986年建自来水塔，1991年起改由澄海东部自来水厂供水，1997年起铺设村道水泥路面。[2]
