历史沿革[edit]
村境原属海阳县，明成化十三年（1477年）起属饶平县隆都下堡乡。1953年隆城、溪西合为隆城乡；1980年隆城生产大队析成隆南、隆北、隆华、东光四个大队；1983年11月隆南设乡，属十五乡区；1986年11月撤区置镇，设隆南村。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
博雅地名网所载村简介称，全村总人口2187人，574户，耕地660亩，2009年度人均年收入约2600元。[2] 隆南、隆北、隆华、东光四村1984年曾合建报本学校，并在其后合办自来水厂。[4]
