桥头社区是凤江镇的居民委员会，因居委会设在凤江桥桥头而得名，凤江镇人民政府驻于此地。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1986年，揭西县人民政府批准设立该社区并定下名称。1987年9月居民委员会正式成立，当时正值改革开放后农转非人口大量增加。[1]

2024年3月，社区被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」。[1]

2025年12月，镇政府公告同意社区设立居民小组的方案。[3]
