桥头社区位于广东省东莞市厚街镇东南部，南接南五社区，东至大岭山森林公园，北以镇中心区南横路为界，西与新塘社区毗邻。社区占地约10平方千米，由7个分社组成。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期，桥头曾是桥头乡公所的驻地。社区以陈姓人数最多，其次为林、刘、李、张、方、谢等姓。[1]

社区称陈誉为立村始祖，其后人中有任东莞县令、礼部左侍郎等官职的人物。[1][2]

文化与名胜[edit]

社区的端午节旱地舞龙舟巡游于2009年7月申报为省级非物质文化遗产。节度陈公祠于2012年申报为东莞文物保护单位，百度百科则称其为广东省文物保护单位。[1][3]

社区设有小学与幼儿园各一所，另有农贸市场、广场、图书馆及老人活动中心，灯光球场十余个。[1]
