中和村在石潭镇北部，离石潭圩约8公里，村域面积约53平方千米，村民小组多达45个。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历是取“振兴中华、和睦共处”之意。[1]

1958年成立中和大队，1984年改设中和乡，1986年设村委会，1989年划为管理区，1998年恢复为村委会；2004年10月，中和与坪底两个村委会合并，成为中和村委会。[1]

2019年9月，中和村入选「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。2023年5月，广东省爱卫会公布「2022年广东省卫生村」名单，其中群四村、文田洞村、新村岗等列于中和村名下。[1]

地理环境[edit]
