东安村在石潭镇东部，离石潭圩约2.5公里，村域面积约3.5平方千米。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村名的来历与旧时的会约有关。石潭一带旧设“太平约”，下分东、西、南、北、中五个会约，为保障地方安全而设；东安属东社，又称东安保，解放后改名东安。[1]
1953年设东安乡，1958年改称东安大队，1983年复设乡，1986年改设村委会，1989年设管理区，1998年复为村委会。[1]
2021年12月，广东省爱卫会授予东安村「2021年广东省卫生村」荣誉称号。[1]
