红星社区位于彭寨镇境内，是镇内的社区之一，与街道社区、大塘面社区、五星社区相邻。当地人盼望团结一心、前途光明，因此取名红星。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年此处办过农场，1962年改称红星大队，并与老彭中共同管理。2002年设立为居民委员会。[2]

文化[edit]

2019年9月，红星社区列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
