石下村位于车田镇，村名取义于村子南面一座大石山，村落就坐落在山下。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

解放后，此地划归黄埠乡，设石磜村。1958年为车田公社的石下大队，1977年归郑马公社管辖。1983年改设乡，1986年转为村委会，1989年称管理区，1999年重新设立村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2024年3月，石下村获命名为2023年广东省卫生村。[1] 该村另于2019年9月被列为2018年度广东省民主法治示范村创建单位。[1]
