马輋村位于车田镇，村名的来历与旧时的养马场有关：过去这里建有数十个马舍，客家人取谐音写作“輋”。博雅地名网将此村写作“马畲村”。[1]

1986年，马輋村仍归鹤輋村委会管辖；1989年从鹤輋村分出，设马輋管理区；1999年设村委会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2023年广东省卫生村的称号，于2024年3月授予马輋村。[1]
