红云村是乳源瑶族自治县大桥镇的行政村，村委会驻地在镇域北部，与镇政府驻地相距10公里，到县城45公里。村下设11个自然村，共360户、2060人。[1]村名的来历：此地原叫白牛坪，后改称白云坪，老人嫌"白"字不吉利，又改为红云。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
建国之初这里是红云乡，1958年成为红云大队；红云乡政府成立于1983年，三年后改称红云村委会，1989年又叫管理区，1998年恢复村委会之名，此后未变。[1]
经济[edit]
该村2432亩耕地（水田1732亩、旱地700亩），种植以反季节蔬菜为主，玉米、水稻为辅；2008年村民人均年收入为3458元。[1]
