石下村是始兴县沈所镇的行政村，村内的石下古村以成排的李氏祠堂和棋盘式的巷道布局为特点。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村名取自南面的鹅公咀石山，村子正好在山脚。[1]1950年冬设农会，其后经高级社（1956年）、大队（1958年）、乡（1983年）、管理区（1987年），1998年改设村民委员会；2005年，围溪、群星两个村委会并入石下。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
石下古村在县城西南约5公里。族谱载，李氏始祖火德公原居福建宁化，辗转迁至始兴，后落脚此地，繁衍二十多代，村里有以家祠为中心的十八头大门。村内建筑多为每户两厅六房或四厅两房，各栋之间的檐街笔直宽阔，中间是红砂岩砌的排水沟；李氏宗祠位于古村中部，为三厅二井的格局。[1][2]
荣誉[edit]
2020年5月，石下村被命名为韶关市2020年度市级「民主法治村（社区）」；2023年5月获2022年广东省卫生村称号；2026年3月被认定为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇。[1]
