历史沿革[edit]

村名由来：坝头一带是南北朝处士程旼的定居之地，后人为纪念他，以坝头圩为中心，圩西一带称程西。[1]

建制沿革，由近及远：1999年复称程西村民委员会；1989年称程西管理区；1987年称程西村民委员会；1983年为程西小乡；1958年为程西生产大队。[1]

经济[edit]

主要经济作物为金柚和花生。[1]

荣誉：2019年9月进入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单。[1]
