梅东村是广东省梅州市平远县大柘镇辖下的行政村，位于大柘镇县城一带。据博雅地名网所载（未注明年份），村内分13个村民小组，登记683户、2417人，土地总面积3.64平方千米，耕地800.7亩。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村名由来：20世纪50年代农业合作化时，郭尹屋下、东富岭、司下三处合组高级社，并入棉二、黄沙塘之后定名梅东高级农业合作社，后来相沿成了村名。[1]
建制沿革，由近及远：1999年4月起称村民委员会至今；1989年分出梅二、黄沙两处，称梅东管理区；1987年称梅东村民委员会；1984年为大东（小）乡，隶属大柘区；1958年公社化时为梅东生产大队；1949年称梅东乡。[1]
经济[edit]
村里有与人合办红砖厂的收入。[1]
荣誉：2026年1月，被评为广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村；2019年9月进入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
平远凌云塔在梅东村，建于清乾隆三十二年（1767年），为古建筑，列入第八批梅州市文物保护单位。[1]
