超竹村是广东省梅州市平远县大柘镇辖下的行政村，位于大柘镇的超竹片。据博雅地名网所载（未注明年份），村内分15个村民小组，登记485户、1869人，土地总面积5.87平方千米，耕地1033亩。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村名由来：传说此地地形像竹叶，满山绿竹成荫，长势超过别处，因此叫超竹。[1]
建制沿革，由近及远：1999年4月起称村民委员会；1989年改称超竹管理区；1987年称超竹村民委员会；1983年称超竹小乡；1978年1月又分成三个大队；1978年以前，超前、狮山、超竹合为一个大队；解放初期与大柘合并为大超乡；民国时期超竹是行政乡。[1]
经济[edit]
主要经济作物为甘蔗和花生；村里自办自来水厂，以厂里的利润为一项收入，办厂资金来自挂钩单位的扶持。[1]
