麻西村位于大埔县大麻镇境内，属河西片，在梅州市、广东省的行政区划中是大麻镇所辖的一个村。村落在大麻圩西面，故称麻西。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

嘉靖三十六年（1557年）前后及乾隆初年（约1744年），均属大麻社下麻村。1998年改设村民委员会，此前1988年改称管理区，1986年冬设村委会，1983年12月复为麻西乡，1958年人民公社化时成为大麻公社的麻西生产大队，1957年为大麻乡的麻西小乡，1952年单独设麻西乡，1949年属附麻乡，民国三十二年（1943年）前后称大麻区罗赖乡。[2]

人口与经济[edit]

据村情页（未注明年份），全村分22个村民小组，在册532户、2318人，耕地1112亩，主要经济作物为柚子、苦丁茶，上一年农村经济总收入1730万元。[1]

  • 2021年12月，麻西村获「2021年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
