小留村位于大埔县大麻镇境内，属河西片，在梅州市、广东省的行政区划中是大麻镇所辖的一个村。东、西两条坑水在聚落中部汇成小溪；「流」与「榴」「留」谐音，故名，与大留村相对而言称小留。^[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明嘉靖年间属大麻社小榴村，乾隆年间同。1998年改设村民委员会，此前1988年改称管理区，1986年冬设村委会，1983年12月复为小留乡，1958年人民公社化时设大麻公社的小留生产大队，1957年1月为大麻乡的小留小乡，1949年属大麻镇，民国为大麻区小留乡。^[1]

据村情页（未注明年份），全村分35个村民小组，在册815户、3368人，耕地1538亩，主要经济作物为柚子，上一年农村经济总收入2617万元。^[1]

宽裕居为清代古建筑，在大埔县第十批县级文物保护单位之列；梅州市人民政府于2015年2月5日将小留宽裕居列入第三批市级文物保护单位。^[2]

郭学云（1894年至1925年）出生于小留村，又名学文，字伯潜，保定陆军军官学校第六期步科毕业；在粤军中历任第一师第二旅的团长、旅长（少将），并担任第四军第十二师参谋长；去世后获国民政府追赠陆军中将衔。^[3]
