恭下村位于大埔县大麻镇境内，属河东片，在梅州市、广东省的行政区划中是大麻镇所辖的一个村。村内小溪沿村境曲成「弓」字形，旧称弓洲；恭下位于恭洲的右下部分，因此得名，后来恭洲之名取代了弓洲。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明何氏客家先民于永乐末年（1424年）来到弓洲村合溪右下方的南山一带建村，形成恭下聚落。1998年改设村民委员会，此前1988年改称管理区，1986年冬设村委会，1983年12月为恭下乡，1978年3月改隶恭洲公社，1958年人民公社化时成为大麻公社的恭下生产大队，1957年属恭洲乡，1949年属麻东乡，民国三十二年（1943年）前后属恭洲乡，嘉靖三十六年（1557年）前后属大麻社弓洲村。[2]
人口与经济[edit]
据村情页（未注明年份），全村分26个村民小组，在册505户、2119人，耕地639亩，主要经济作物为柚子，上一年农村经济总收入1442万元。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
宜慎山庄建于1937年，博雅地名网在两处分别记作梅州市第八批市级文保单位和大埔县第十二批县级文保单位，两说未能互证。[3]
2023年4月，恭下村被纳入《大埔县湖寮镇龙岗村河头村等18个中国传统村落保护发展规划》，规划期至2035年。[4]
