历史沿革[edit]

该村原与双湖共为一村，后来在村级建制调整中从双湖分出，取“新分出”之意称新湖。[1]1958年至1983年间仍称双湖大队，1987年设新湖管理区，1999年起为新湖村委会。[1]2019年9月，村列入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位名单」。[1]
