双湖村为梅县区水车镇所辖行政村，由湖上、湖下合称而来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
当地旧时湖塘多，原分湖上、湖下两处，后合称双湖。[1]清代归嘉应州龙文堡，1941年为第二区龙文乡辖地；1959年起归水车人民公社，1987年起称双湖管理区，1999年起为双湖村委会。[1]2019年9月，村列入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位名单」。[1]
