1958年成立高田大队，到1986年改设村委会，1999年起定为高田村民委员会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2021年1月，高田村2021年1月被湛江市列入2020年度文明村名单；2023年5月，所属的湾尾村、那有村、新湖村获2022年广东省卫生村称号。[1]
