鹅峰村为梅县区水车镇所辖行政村，村名出自鹅形山和塘中小山的传说。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，上村廖姓屋后的大面岭形似飞鹅过江，称“鹅公”；下村下老屋对面的山形如金鹅孵卵，称“鹅母”；塘尾钟姓的水塘中有一座小山，传说某天早晨有人见山顶有两枚鹅蛋，鹅峰之名由此而来。[1]明代归程乡县万安都，清代归嘉应州大小立堡；1941年为第二区大立乡辖地，1987年设鹅峰管理区，1999年起为鹅峰村委会。[1]
2021年9月，广东省农业农村厅公布「第二批广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」，鹅峰村以木耳入选。[1]
