黄留村在城北镇中南部，邻接城区，设21个村民小组，属梅州市梅江区城北镇下辖的行政村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名来由是古时此处主要住黄姓族人。[1]

村落早有聚居，明清两代属西厢堡。1949年设黄留乡，隶属城北区；1956年撤区并乡，归城西乡。1958年改设黄留大队，属卫星人民公社（后称梅城人民公社），1960年改属新设的城北人民公社。1983年称黄留乡；1987年改为村民委员会，隶属城北乡；1989年称黄留管理区；1998年定名为黄留村民委员会，隶属城北镇。[1]

经济[edit]

村情资料载，全村有695户、2734人，总面积1.89平方公里，耕地552亩，主要种水稻；所记上一年农村经济总收入2301万元（年份未注明）。村里发挥临近城区的区位优势，转移富余劳动力，引进企业以壮大集体经济。[1]

2019年9月，该村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
