历史沿革[edit]
村名中的「黄」指姓氏：古时此村主要住黄姓族人；「明」取明亮之意。[1]
1949年设黄明乡，隶属城北区；1956年撤区并乡，归城西乡。1958年改设黄明大队，属卫星人民公社（后称梅城人民公社）；1960年城北人民公社从梅城人民公社分设，该村随之改属。1983年复称黄明乡；1987年改为村民委员会，隶属城北乡；1989年称黄明管理区；1998年定名为黄明村村民委员会，隶属城北镇。[1]
经济[edit]
村情资料载，全村有390户、1546人，总面积3.8平方公里，耕地1053亩，种水稻和蔬菜；所记上一年农村经济总收入1682万元（年份未注明）。村里推动劳动力转移，在条件合适的地方改种立体农业，并兴办、引进村级企业以化解村级债务。[1]
