历史沿革[edit]
1949年设古洲乡，隶属城北区；1956年撤区并乡，归城西乡。1958年改设古洲大队，属卫星人民公社（后称梅城人民公社）；1960年城北人民公社从梅城人民公社分设，该村随之改属。1983年恢复乡的建制，归城北区管辖；1987年改为村民委员会，隶属城北乡；1989年称古洲管理区；1998年定名为古洲村村民委员会，隶属城北镇。[1]
经济[edit]
村情资料载，全村有609户、2354人，总面积2.07平方公里，耕地485亩，主要种水稻；所记上一年农村经济总收入2324万元（年份未注明）。村委会调整农业结构、完善基础设施，曾获区文明村称号。[1]
2019年9月，该村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
