桔子社区位于惠州市博罗县公庄镇镇区，行政区划代码441322104002。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

当地圩市在每年桔子成熟的季节，大批桔子在此上市，社区因而得名。[1]

1958年成立居民社，1964年改为居民队，1969年改为五七大队，1987年改为居民村，1988年改设社区，桔子社区居民委员会2000年成立，沿用至今。[1]

据博雅地名网所载公庄镇沿革，1938年（民国二十七年）桔子属文明乡；1949年春解放后设桔子乡；1949年7月1日博东县人民政府成立时，县政府驻地在桔子。[2]
