村中居民多姓张，故称张村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

张村在1959年至1963年是马安甘蔗场所辖的良种场；1964年至1983年并入水口公社红星大队。1984年至1986年，它在水口区水口乡之下；1987年成水口镇的张村委会，1990年称管理区，1999年重设村委会。[1]
