沙田村沿国道324线分布，挨着竹圩农贸市场，往南与白诸镇相连，往北2公里到新桥镇城区；辖14个自然村，分21个村民小组。[1]
概况[edit]
全村1071户、4315人。土地方面，耕地2246亩（水田1725亩），鱼塘470亩，山地3411亩。村里走“工业兴村”路子，建了沙田工业园区；集体商铺二十多间，固定资产350万元。[1] 2019年9月列入2018年度广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
新中国成立初，沙田隶高要二区的金山乡；1953年归四区，1955年归新桥区；1958年建沙田大队，之后改乡、村委会、管理区，1998年成沙田村委会。[1]
