荔枝村是高要区莲塘镇中部的行政村，邻县道新蛟公路，由荔枝村、新村、云朗村、坑塘村4个自然村组成，人口共3500人（据博雅地名网）。[1]村内保存有孔氏宗祠、梁氏大夫祠、担坭茶亭等建筑，《人民日报》称之为古村。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

1952年立荔枝乡，隶高要二区，当年8月划归高要六区；1955年转入莲塘区；1958年划入新桥公社，成立荔枝大队；次年改隶莲塘公社；1983年大队改为乡，1989年乡改为村委会，后改为管理区，1998年复称村民委员会。[1]

经济[edit]

全村耕地2832亩（播种1512亩、养殖1320亩），山地5800亩，收入主要来自出租鱼塘和山地。[1]据《人民日报》2024年8月报道，村旁神符山下建有农耕文化园，园内的高要西江虾谷展示馆介绍罗氏沼虾养殖，荔枝村是“稻虾共作”基地。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

据《人民日报》报道，村建在弯月形土岗上，东南居住梁、朱两姓，西北居住孔、容、温三姓，村民约4000人。[2]孔氏宗祠始建于清代，后经重修，祠内有孔子像和“诗礼堂”；报道称北宋时孔子后裔孔安愈到此开村。[2]梁氏大夫祠在村西，始建于明代中后期，报道说明清两代梁氏族人中出过翰林院侍读、进士、举人等数十人。[2]村里还有玉书门、飞鸣书室、白兰社学、殿华学校、贞文书房等旧书塾和学堂的遗址；前一年暑期，肇庆市首家乡村新华书店在贞文书房旧址开业，殿华学校改作书吧。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2024年4月，进入「广东省第一批乡村振兴示范村」创建名单；2019年9月，列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单。[1]
