官塘村是高要区莲塘镇东部的行政村，东与白土镇相连，距莲塘圩镇8千米，辖3个村民小组，人口共2973人（据博雅地名网）。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
解放前隶高要二区；1952年属高要六区，1955年转入莲塘区江南乡，1958年划入新桥公社姚村大队，1959年转到活道公社，仍在姚村大队之下。1979年姚村大队一分为四，即姚村、活村、真竹、官塘，1998年设官塘村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]
经济[edit]
村中有一条花生街，聚集12家花生制品厂，产品有生花生、咸干花生、花生饼等，销往省内外。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2021年12月，获广东省爱卫会授予“2021年广东省卫生村”称号；2019年9月，列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单。[1]
