活村是高要区莲塘镇的行政村，邻莲江公路，距莲塘圩镇5千米，地处丘陵，辖6个村民小组，人口共1115人（据博雅地名网）。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
解放前隶高要二区；1952年属高要六区，1955年转入莲塘区江南乡，1958年划入新桥公社的姚村大队，1959年转到活道公社，仍在姚村大队之下。1979年姚村大队一分为四，即姚村、活村、真竹、官塘；活村大队于1983年改为乡，1987年乡改为村委会，1989年又改为管理区，1998年复称村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
农业以桉树、柑橘、粉葛、花生为主。据博雅地名网，村里的山泉水吸引了外地茶艺爱好者前来取水。[1]
