明星村是广东省茂名市化州市合江镇下辖的行政村，在镇的东部，分16个村民小组。[1]村民委员会自述（未注年份）：登记1222户、3604人，总面积6.9平方千米，耕地3855亩。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1952年土地改革时，此地归合化北乡；次年明星、车田合并，统称车田乡；1955年合作化时入第一农业社（高级社），1956年定名明星高级社。人民公社化的1958年，合江公社成立，高级社改叫明星大队；1983年设明星乡；1987年起为明星村民委员会，1989年一度称明星管理区办事处，1999年重称村民委员会。[1]

经济[edit]

据村民委员会自述，该村地处南亚热带，年平均气温23℃、年降雨量1890毫米；主要经济作物为稻谷、蚕桑。上一年（未注年份）农村经济总收入1333.7万元。[1]在镇党委、镇政府带动下，村里种桑约1000亩，建成明星千亩蚕桑示范基地，农户随之种桑养蚕；村里自筹资金铺设了2公里水泥路。[1]
