历史沿革[edit]
民国后期，辖地一部分属新圩乡，一部分属合江乡；1952年归合江乡；1958年公社化后属合江公社合江大队；1962年分出，立北岸大队；1983年设北岸咀乡；1987年起为北岸咀村民委员会，1989年改称管理区办事处，1999年恢复村民委员会之称。[1]
经济[edit]
据村民委员会自述，该村地处南亚热带，年平均气温23℃、年降雨量1890毫米；主要经济作物为稻谷、蚕桑、香蕉。上一年（未注年份）农村经济总收入777.5万元。[1]近年村里大面积种植蚕桑和香蕉，以百亩示范基地带动全村，并成立了产业协会。村里引进超市1家、饲料厂2家，据称解决300多人的就业。[1]
荣誉[edit]
- 2021年12月，广东省爱卫会授予「2021年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
