历史沿革[edit]
禾堂岭乡成立于1953年土地改革；1958年人民公社化，叫禾堂岭大队；至1983年为禾堂岭乡，1987年改设禾堂岭村民委员会；1989年一度称管理区办事处，1999年重称村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]
经济[edit]
据村民委员会自述，该村地处南亚热带，年平均气温23℃、年降雨量1890毫米；主要经济作物为稻谷、蚕桑、玉米。上一年（未注年份）农村经济总收入2365.2万元。[1]村里在狮墩村一带建起连片千亩蚕桑基地，并引进化州市恒远茧丝有限公司落户收茧；另引进3000多万元兴办月水工业园区，建有压板厂2家、饲料厂1家，据称解决全村200多人的就业。[1]
荣誉[edit]
- 2019年9月，列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
