红旗社区是广东省湛江市吴川市梅菉街道下辖的社区。名称来历：辖区内有红旗路经过，因此得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

社区名称几经更迭：管理区（1955年）、居委会（1958年，属梅菉公社）、居委会（1966年，属梅菉镇）、管理区（1983年），1999年定为红旗社区居委会。[1]

概况[edit]

红旗社区成立于1964年，在鉴江河畔的梅菉旧城区，面积约1平方千米，约7800人，设6个居民小组。[1][2] 2004年同德路拆迁改造，建成商住一体的同德城，江心岛大桥把旧城区与江心岛相连。[2]

辖区内有一座历史较久的基督教堂，以及两处吴川市文物保护单位：南路特别委员会与省农民协会南路办事处旧址，梅菉国技馆革命旧址；新安路的水艾、煎堆是当地小食。[2]

2019年9月，该社区列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
