历史沿革[edit]

白沙村民委员会的名称，由雷州市人民政府在1999年11月发文公布全市村（居）委会名称时确定。[1]

荣誉[edit]

  • 2018年度「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位，于2019年9月公布名单，该村在列。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

医灵堂在村中公路村北侧，是两进的庙宇，内祀炎帝神农氏，当地俗称医灵大帝。据博雅地名网所引文物资料，庙始建于宋代，明万历二十六年（1598年）由知县秦懋义重建，其后道光、同治年间又有修缮，1984年村民集资再修。堂左设“扬功阁”，纪念南宋雷州知府何庾、戴之邵，二人主持筑堤开沟，引西湖水灌溉白沙一带田地；堂内存明清碑刻13块。[2]百度百科记其为广东省文物保护单位。[3]
