坡头社区位于坡头镇镇区，为镇中心区，因驻地在坡头圩而得名。[1][1]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立初期这里属湛江市滨海区，1953年归吴川县第八区。1958年建坡头居民大队，1968年改称居委会，隶坡头公社；1983年称坡头小镇，1987年起属坡头镇，1989年9月改为坡头管理区，2002年12月定名坡头社区居民委员会，沿用至今。[1]
