长沙村属广东省高州市大井镇，是镇下辖的行政村，属镇乡结合区，村名来自村旁一片狭长的沙质地。[1]
地名由来[edit]
村旁有一块长约2公里、宽约1公里的沙质地，故名长沙。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
长沙大队原属东风公社。1961年公社体制下放，分为长沙、平浪、五村、大坑四个大队，归属从东风公社分出的石咀公社。1963年，其中长沙、平浪、五村三队合并，成为长沙大队。1983年建乡，1986年改称农村管理区，1999年起设村民委员会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2021年12月，长沙村获「2021年广东省卫生村」称号；2019年9月，列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单。[1]
