历史沿革[edit]
新城村的旧名是棫朴：1953年设棫朴乡，1958年改作生产大队，1983年恢复为乡，1987年称村民委员会，1989年改称管理区；到1999年才定名为新城村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]
经济[edit]
村内主要经济作物为水稻、花生和玉米，北运菜是特色收入。据村情材料，上一年全村经济总收入为2500万元；发展思路是调整农业结构、扩大经济作物、转移富余劳动力。[1]
