白沙村在开平市大沙镇的西北部，村委会距镇政府4公里，下设15个村民小组。[1]相传新马桥以下的山体经溪水冲刷，远看呈白色，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清代时归开平县长静都，民国年间划入开平县第二区鹤洲乡，1949年后改隶恩平县鹤洲乡。[1]1958年归开恩县大沙公社；1961年起成为开平县大沙公社辖下的白沙大队；1984年改设白沙乡人民政府，1987年称白沙管理区，1999年起为白沙村民委员会。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

博雅地名网所录村情记人口2019人、554户，耕地1800亩，未注明统计年份。[1]2020年8月，白沙村入选首批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单（茶叶）；2026年1月，获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
